Theodosius I, 379-395. Solidus (Gold, 20 mm, 4.56 g, 6 h), Mediolanum, 380-382. D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG Pearl diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Theodosius I to right. Rev. VICTOR-IA AVGG / COM Two emperors, nimbate, seated facing on double-throne, holding a globe together, the emperor on the right holding mappa in his left hand; between them, a palm frond; behind, Victory standing facing with wings spread. Depeyrot 1/3 (North Italian mint) . RIC 5f and 8b. A well struck example of fine style. Faint scratches in the obverse fields, otherwise, extremely fine.
